Super late to the party here, and I'm bummed about it BUT at least I can listen to all of Dazzle Vision's songs to my heart's content (sucks they disbanded though). So while I haven't followed this band for very long, here's my two cents after reading some comments: I think they sound fucking great. I've purchased almost every one of their albums at this point - and while I'm a new fan and listener - I think their musical evolution is clear. Not without flaw, but certainly with feeling and love for various genres. Songs like "Kuuhaku" are so fucking raw and heavy, while ballads like "HERE" bring tears to my eyes. One of my favorite songs from them (at this point in time), "Eternity," is such a glorious mix of JRock, pop punk, and metalcore. They can wail, man. They can groove, and they can make your head slam into your knees from banging it so goddamned hard. And this album, Final Attack, is a well-executed experiment in both pop and metal music (imo). I've met so many metal heads and diehard fans of this band, that band, etc. who hate the idea of change in an already successful formula. Sure, it's risky, and some once great metal legends have since deteriorated with age and/or lack of ideas (or drugs. Or, ironically, rehab.) In that respect, I think Dazzle Vision went out with a bang. It's the last thing they've left us, and I've hugged it to death because it's so good. And so cool. And so wonderfully made. Bum along to the beat of “Brand New World” on your car’s stereo. Or chill out to “Circle” or “Open the Gate.” My personal favorite track on the album is “All Out,” the riffs and chorus are golden. I don’t really care for “Evolution” to be honest… don’t know why they made a video for it. But I digress… I try to respect everybody’s opinion about music, because it’s all pretty much subjective anyway. And I think Dazzle Vision is amazing. Not just in terms of metal music or poppy- mainstream-whatever-you-want-to-call-it, but in terms of their very unique, sometimes strange, but often beautiful sound. Love ‘em. Also I want the shirt worn by the Bassist in this video. Glorious.
Nobody is hating on the screams. The fact is that she can sing, and yet she's choosing to use shitty auto-tune effects. Plus that whole 'dubstep' section in the track is just god awful. I'm not normally the type to cry "sellouts" the moment bands try to do something different, but dubstep is a massive phase that will age terribly, so for a talented band to resort to such lows is sad to watch. No wonder they split up.
umm they use auto tune here as an effect, AS IT SHOULD BE, not a devise to pitch correct a bad singer. secondly alot of bands are fusing electronic with metal, look at crossfaith. hell even Underoath as well so the dubstep complaint is pointless

I think they would be in the top 5 of Japanese bands right now. Still my gateway drug band and still a favorite of mine. I hope Maiko is happy in her new (not so new know) married life and the other members are doing what makes them happy.

American Metalcore/Post-Hardcore bands have been stripping down their sound for awhile now... Chorus -> Breakdown -> Repeat. Japanese bands tend to avoid that.
its not screamo, and i guess the bands you call screamo from the states aren't screamo either, japanese screamo rules, like envy, ito project and blue friend, this is regular metalcore and sounds *in my opinion* like any metalcore band from the states.
Yepp I agree on this beeing Metalcore (though its kind of a pathetic thin line between both genres). Never the less great music. Japan got a surprising amount of talented rock / metal bands which get unfortunately not as much media coverage as they actually should (instead people appear to think K-Pop is the next big thing -.- ). But on the plus side Maximum the Hormone made it to the Knotfest. That grants some hope I guess! :D

Like many people have said before, and as I'm allowed to opinionate, I think this song is okay. Their old stuff is pretty much perfection compared to this, but this is decent. I hope they revert to their old style or at least keep key attributes like good vocals and less autotune and less electro. Or at least blend it all differently so we can admire each to it's own in comparison to random blender shitS
You have to understand that musical genres have limits and you cant just do the same sound forever. It is literally impossible unless you make near copy songs and bands with pride dont like to repeat themselves. This happens with all band in the world. People always start saying "i wish they can go back to their old sound it was perfect!" but its just not that simple. If you understand how music works you realize you can only do certain sounds so much before they are exhausted in composition then you have to move on to something different while still keeping the core qualities the band is good at. This is simply the reality.

The discussion we are having is actually why most bands disband. Core member A wants to evolve and make the sound better and better and not sound the same over and over, but Core member B wants to just stay in the comfort zone and not risk changing the sound up. They argue and argue then the band dissolves cause they cant go back to the way they were =(
I would like this so much more if her screams weren't edited and lowered so much. They have no impact in the song. It's like listening to metal at 5% volume... Her screams were crazy in Vision! Wonder why they changed the production quality so much. This doesn't have that awesome sound I was used to imo. Still an awesome song though

I've found the whole album very hit and miss with this single being one of the lowlights. One of the biggest appeals of Dazzle vision is Maiko's voice, why on earth would they want to autotune it to hell and back? Hopefully it's just a phase.

what up with the rock/metal genre adding in Dubstep samples in their music alot nowadays. so far about every band that i've listened to that came out with music in the past year have all had a song with a touch of dubstep added to a breakdown. don't get me wrong, i think it sounds amazing, but is this like, a thing now?

I literally just discovered this band tonight, and not 5 minutes later I've found out they're done. Good christ I'm sick of that happening. Anyone recommend bands that sound like this? How does getting married stop her from making a new band? You don't usually get married and then axe your career. Just curious why she would quit. Her talent is beyond words.
Alex Parrish A lot of people do that..Look at the vocalist for three days grace,he couldve easily continued but he got sick and had personal issues to take care of so he quit music too..A lot of people when something big happens like marriage for instance,they take time off..Amy Lee did the same thing when she got married.We might see maiko again and I hope we do,but we will see.

Same with Slipknot and Disturbed, plus she wants to devote her time to her husband and possible kids, and I respect thst

Auto-tune is good in moderation, but it should only be used for minor pitch correction.. not T-pain-style.

what up with the rock/metal genre adding in Dubstep samples in their music alot nowadays. so far about every band that i've listened to that came out with music in the past year have all had a song with a touch of dubstep added to a breakdown. don't get me wrong, i think it sounds amazing, but is this like, a thing now?

I literally just discovered this band tonight, and not 5 minutes later I've found out they're done. Good christ I'm sick of that happening. Anyone recommend bands that sound like this? I'd like to know some bands with female vocalists (screamers), Japanese bands and also just bands that sound like this in general.
